Wind and Earth performs in NVSU
The Wind and Earth (WE) Cultural Institute, Korea executes a cultural and musical show in the Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU) gymnatorium last December 16. Headed by producer and supervisor Martin Choi, the group is composed of 27 performers who showcased Korean culture though arts display and musical show. The production, whose highlight is the tea ceremony between the WE performers and the NVSU President, Dr. Marilou S. Gilo-Abon, is witnessed by guests, students, faculty members and staff of the Bayombong and Bambang Campuses.

Expressing solidarity, PMGA joins WE performers in a tea ceremony during the group’s performance in NVSU. Mr. Carlos Padilla, Jr. (rightmost), NVSU faculty member, joins her.
“A good part in the show is the appearance of two performers bearing the Philippine and Korean flags for it signifies friendship of both countries,” observes a viewer. Indeed, choosing NVSU as one of the four universities in the Philippines to serve as venue for its 2008 tour is part of WE’s goal to gather support from different groups committed to the promotion of culture and arts in enhancing mutual communication and harmony among nations.
To complement the rich show of Korean culture and tradition, the NVSU Voices and Graces also staged traditional Filipino dances and songs during the socialization night held at the Padilla Hall. The said show showcased the Korean culture through art exhibit particularly White Porcelain Exhibition by ceramic artist Jinchae Kim, playing of Korean musical instruments and the tea ceremony.
