Despite the limitations brought about by the CoVid 19 pandemic, the NVSU does not stop from achieving quality and excellence in terms of its academic programs. Program accreditation is one approach of which academic programs are reviewed and evaluated for quality and excellence.
On August 30 to September 3, 2021, seven graduate programs of the Bayombong Campus are lined up for a first survey visit by the Accrediting Agency for Chartered Colleges and Universities of the Philippines, Inc. (AACCUP, Inc.). The accreditation process will be done online. These programs include Doctor of Education (Educational Management), Doctor of Philosophy in Science Education (General Science), Doctor of Philosophy in Multilingual Education, Master of Arts in Teaching (Filipino and English), Master of Education (Education Administration), Master of Arts in Education (MAPEH) and Master of Management.
With the stern outcomes-based by program accreditation instrument used by the AACCUP Inc., a thorough preparation of the documents is needed. The accreditation process will be done in 10 areas namely, the vision, mission, goals and objectives (VMGO), faculty, instruction and curriculum, support to students, research, extension and community development, library, laboratory and physical facilities, and administration. The faculty members under these programs to be accredited are now busy preparing for this big event.
Hon. Ruth R. Padilla encouraged all to help one another so that the University will be ready for the accreditation process. Dr. Jocelyn P. Cabrera, Vice President for Academic Affairs conducted meetings with the University accreditation task force to provide them proper guidance in order to cope up with the online accreditation which is more tedious than the face to face accreditation process.
The five-day activity will hold an opening program on August 30, 2021 at 8:30 in the morning and the closing cum exit program will be on September 3, 2021.
