NVSU opens its 5-day the first ever online accreditation today, August 30, despite of the declaration of it as a national holiday in commemoration of the Heroes’ day. Seven graduate programs will be subjected for preliminary survey visit (PSV) by the Accrediting Agency for Chartered Colleges and Universities of the Philippines, (AACCUP), Inc.
“NVSU fully embraces accreditation as one process in achieving quality and excellence in its academic programs” said Dr. Jocelyn P. Cabrera, Vice President for Academic Affairs. Hence, she said that despite the pandemic and some online technical difficulties, the scheduled accreditation process should be pursued. The accreditation process will assess the strengths and weaknesses of the academic programs as basis for further academic programs enhancement, particularly these seven graduate programs which are to be subjected for PSV.
Hon. Ruth R. Padllia, OIC President, in her inspirational message expressed her sincerest gratitude to the AACCUP, Inc through the leadership of Dr. Milabel E. Ho, Executive Director and the team of accreditors for the time and effort they will provide to scrutinize the e-documents submitted and the conduct interviews to the faculty members of programs to subjected for PSV. She further pointed out that the findings and recommendations after the assessment will be used as a reference for NVSU to continue to work harder in order to enhance the university’s academic programs despite the limitations of the CoVid pandemic disease. She also thanked the NVSU team for their hardwork, commitment, and perseverance, and said “you are the heroes of today until the end of this accreditation process”. She is very optimistic that successful results will be achieved in this endeavor. All these efforts of the University will all be for the achievement of the vision, “NVSU a premiere University in a global community”, she further noted.
