CRR4DCV kicks-off training for second citrus project

Following its first project on Value Chain Analysis of Citrus in Cagayan Valley, the NVSU Research, Extension, and Business for Development (REBD) through the Citrus Resources Research for Development in Cagayan Valley (CRR4DCV) Program Team kicked-off its second project on Citrus Plant Genetic Resources and Database Profiling system on April 19-21, 2017.  The three-day activity embarked on four topics and field collecting activity on Citrus Genebank and Database profiling where three experts from the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB), Laguna served as resource speakers. Prof. Nestor Altoveros discussed on citrus species and cultivars identification, and database management. NVSU LabSchool holds second junior high completion rites

The Nueva Vizcaya State University Laboratory School under the College of Teacher Education held the second moving up ceremony for its Grade 10 students on April 6, 2017 at the NVSU Gymnasium. Dr. Regino Galate, NVSU Lab School principal, presented the 54 candidates for Junior High School completion to University President Dr. Andres Taguiam, who confirmed the moving up completion of the Grade 10 students. Executive Secretary of the Mayor’s Office Bayombong Engr. Faithful in innovating methods for the student services in the University, the NVSU Educational Testing Center (UETC) and the Computer Science and Information Technology (CSIT) Department launched the Web-based Faculty Performance Evaluation on April 17, 2017.According to UETC Director Prof. Josefina Sana, the project was set to make the evaluation process more convenient and accessible to students as compared to the previous computer- and paper-based evaluation procedure.The Paper-based evaluation system usually runs for four months including the room-to-room evaluation. The final examination schedule for the second semester, S.Y. 2016-2017 is set on May 15, 16, and 17, 2017.All faculty members are requested to follow this examination guide strictly to avoid conflicts in room and time schedule.
