6 Programs bid for AACCUP Level IV Status

Six programs of the Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU) will undergo evaluation for Level IV Phase 1 and Revisit by the Accrediting Agency for Chartered Colleges and Universities of the Philippines (AACCUP) Inc., starting today, Aug. 7 to 11.

The programs to be evaluated are the Bachelor of Science (BS) in Forestry, Master in Education major in Language, Reading, and Numeracy (LRN), BS Agricultural Engineering, and BS Agricultural Technology of NVSU Bayombong Campus and BS Secondary Education, and Bachelor of Arts in English of NVSU Bambang Campus.

Twenty-one (21) accreditors were sent by AACCUP to assess the programs headed by overall coordinator Dr. Luzviminda A. Rodrin. Rodrin also presented the survey team for accreditation: Dr. Antonio E. Madrid, Dr. Nelly C. Antolin, Dr. Angelita J. Prado, and Dr. Eligio B. Sacayanan of Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University; Dr. Gloria D. Tuzon and Dr. Elene U. Ato of Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College; Dr. Leoncio M. Matibag and Prof. Rommel Octavius R. Nuestro of Laguna State Polytechnic University; Dr. Jennifer L. Amaranto and Dr. Analyn M. Gamit of Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology; Dr. Luzviminda O. Ramos and Dr. Fe S. Soriano of Pangasinan State University;Dr. Emerson V. Barcellano of Kalinga State University; Dr. Estrelita E. Yago of Philippine State College of Aeronautics; Dr. Jo A. Espiritu of Ramon Magsaysay Technological University; Dr. Jenet B. Fuentes of Saint Scholastica College; Dr. Namerod F. Mateo of University of Rizal System; Dr. Erlinda S. Jiz De Ortega of Camarines Norte State College, Dr. Arnel B. Millesca – PARSI; and Dr. Ersyl T. Viray – ASU.

NVSU President Dr. Andres Z. Taguiam welcomed the survey team in a courtesy call at the admin conference room before heading to the University gymnatorium for the opening program. 

Taguiam, during his inspirational message, thanked the accreditors for coming over in sharing their time and expertise for the accreditation period. He believed that after the evaluation, the accreditors will give what is due and what is proper for the betterment of NVSU. 

Rodrin, however, shared that the fate and result of the accreditation ‘greatly lies’ in the hands of the members of the NVSU faculty and staff and its students.#
