The Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU) has recently passed the registration audit conducted by the ACS United States W3 Solutionz, for its application with the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2015, a Quality Management System (QMS). Following this, NVSU was recommended by the ACS United States for certification with the ISO.
The ACS United States W3 Solutionz, an ISO 9001:2015 certifying body, conducted the Stage 1 audit on February 27, 2018, and the stage 2 on the following day.
The audit aims to determine conformity of NVSU's QMS with the audit criteria and its ability to provide quality service that meets customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
ACS noted in its report that "during the audit it was identified that the management system is maintained, and is, in general, effective and conforms to the audit criteria."
NVSU registered zero major nonconformity in the processes surveyed and showed a number of notable positive findings which backed its bid for the award of the certificate.
Among the positive findings observed by ACS are NVSU's top management leadership and commitment in implementing QMS and satisfying the clientele, and the provision of client feedback form for entire General Administration and Support Services (GASS). They also commended the 91.30% passing rate of the university in the September 2017 Electrical Engineering board examination, Dr. Adonardo C. Vergara’s 2017 Presidential Lingkod Bayan Award, and Dr. Lovela Gamponia- Velasco’s Julian Cruz Balmaceda Award for her dissertation.
As part of the Quality Policy, NVSU is committed to establish, maintain, review, and continually identify areas for potential improvement. With this in mind, it shall impart to all its employees to effectively and efficiently deliver instruction, research, extension and administrative services to meet quality results.
