The Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU) has recently celebrated its 14th Charter Anniversary, marking its 14th year as a University since 2006.
The anniversary's theme, "NVSU Strengthens Global Commitments" mirrors the recently revised vision, mission and goals of the University that resolves NVSU as a globally competitive institution. "We have already taken our flight for this vision. What we need now is for us to strengthen it. Give focus on international linkages, partnering with academic and non-academic institutions abroad," said Dr. Andres Z. Taguiam, University President, when asked about the conceptualization of this year's theme.
The celebration started on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 with an ecumenical worship service while simultaneously a number of faculty and staff from both campuses held a motorcade parade around Bayombong and Bambang town respectively.
This was followed by the ribbon cutting and blessing of the university food court, new administration building, and a new academic building.
Further, five former university Board of Regents, and university benefactors were honored during the opening program and was awarded with plaques, certificate of appreciation and tokens. The program was keynoted by Hon. Fortunato T. De La Pena, Secretary of the Department of Science and Technology.
