The Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU) celebrated its 14th Charter Anniversary with the theme "NVSU Strengthens Global Commitments."
Dr. Andres Z. Taguiam, University President, strongly believes that the people who make this institution, past and present, greatly contributed in making NVSU what it is now today and will continue to be a part of future triumphs. Hence, in recognition of this relationship, a tribute to former board of regents and benefactors was held on the opening day, March 20, 2018 at the NVSU Bayombong Gymnatorium.
"Honoring former Board of Regents has always been a tradition. Now with regards to the benefactors, it was during the time of President Marilou Abon when we last paid tribute to them, so medyo matagal na and unfortunately hindi na-sustain. But now, we want to revive it and make it a tradition as well. Ano lang naman ang magpasalamat sa lahat ng tulong nila, it's the perfect time to thank them because without them walang NVSU, walang celebration," said Dr. Liberty G. Torres, Campus Administrator of Bayombong and Director General of the 14th Charter Anniversary, when asked how the tribute program came about.
During Dr. Taguiam's welcome message, he did not only express his eagerness to strengthen global commitments, but also to strengthen relationship with the honorees as well, "our deepest thanks and gratitude to all of you. You are our partner to success; we hope to keep our linkages with you as we aim higher for global standards," he said.
