The Nueva Vizcaya State university (NVSU) placed 4th out of 23 State Colleges and Universities during the recently concluded 2018 Association of State Colleges and Universities – Solid North (ASCU-SN) Olympics held at the Benguet State University at La Trinidad, Benguet last June 18-21.
Eighty-seven faculty members and staff from Bayombong campus and 50 from Bambang campus represented NVSU in the said event.
The NVSU delegation brought home six gold medals, six silver medals, and seven bronze.
NVSU stood alongside Bulacan State Univeristy in 5th, Mountain Province State Polytechnical College in 3rd, Don Mariano Marcos Memorial University in 2nd place, and Benguet State University who emerged as the overall champion.
The ASCU-SN Olympics is an annual sports festival participated by SUCs in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), Region I, Region II, and Region III.
This year's theme is "Gaining Skills: Advocating Gender Sensitivity and Developing Ties thru Sports and Wellness."
