NVSU bags 3rd Runner-Up in 15th National Forestry Olympiad

Students from Nueva Vizcaya State University’s College of Forestry, Environment and Resources Management (CFERM) secured 3rd Runner-Up overall among 26 state universities and colleges during the 15th National Forestry Olympiad held at University of the Philippines Los Baños from February 21–27.

Representing NVSU were Henedy H. Bueno, Jerald Aldrin A. Lapurga, Rannie F. Lacaden, Ginger Naomi P. Vargas, and Reinford A. Mercado.

The team clinched 1st Runner-Up in Leaf Identification, 2nd Runner-Up in Wood Identification, 3rd Runner-Up in Disease Identification, 4th Runner-Up in Seed Identification, and 6th Runner-Up in Geographic Information System (GIS), highlighting their strong technical skills in forestry science.

They were coached by Mr. Romel S. Romano, Mr. Romnick L. Pascua, and Mr. Edwin C. Dela Cruz.
