NVSU Orients Senior Students on Overseas Graduate Studies Pathways
The Nueva Vizcaya State University, through the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), briefed senior students on graduate study options abroad during a career talk held on January 21, 2026 at Room CAS107, CAS Building.
The activity themed "๐พ๐๐ง๐๐๐ง ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐ฃ๐ฉ๐๐ง๐ฃ๐๐ฉ๐๐ค๐ฃ๐๐ก ๐๐ง๐๐๐ช๐๐ฉ๐ ๐๐ฉ๐ช๐๐ฎ ๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ฌ๐๐ฎ๐จ ๐๐ฃ ๐๐๐๐ฌ๐๐ฃโ informed graduating students of possible academic options after completing their undergraduate degrees.
The activity was organized by faculty members of the Natural Sciences Department and the Mathematics and Statistics Department and was attended mainly by fourth-year Bachelor of Science (BS) Biology and BS Mathematics students.
The informative session invited Mr. Bobby Gonzales, a masterโs student in Bioindustrial and Mechatronics Engineering at National Chung Hsing University in Taiwan, who shared practical insights on student life, research culture, laboratory settings, application procedures, scholarship and assistantship opportunities, and basic considerations for living abroad.
Opening remarks were delivered on behalf of CAS Dean Dr. Julius S. Valderama by Dr. Daisy V. Rivera, chairperson of the Natural Sciences Department, while closing remarks were given by Dr. Lany Dullas, chairperson of CAS Graduate Studies. Mr. Joseph E. Valdez, Career and Job Placement Campus Coordinator, facilitated participant registration and program flow.
An open forum allowed the participating students to raise questions on admission requirements, funding support, and academic expectations in international graduate programs, particularly in Taiwan. The discussion was moderated by Mr. Ruchi Briam James S. Lagitnay of the Natural Sciences Department.
The career talk is part of the university's continuing efforts to guide senior students in exploring both local and international academic opportunities and in making informed decisions after graduation.
