NVSU breaks ground for new CTED building, reinforces commitment to sustainable campus development

Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU) officially broke ground for the new College of Teacher Education (CTED) Building at the Bayombong Campus, marking another milestone in the University's continuing efforts to expand learning spaces while promoting sustainable infrastructure, July 20, 2026.

University President Dr. Wilfredo A. Dumale Jr. said the project responds to the steadily increasing number of Teacher Education students while reflecting NVSU's commitment to environmentally responsible campus development.

Designed with sustainability in mind, the new facility will incorporate energy-efficient features, including a rainwater harvesting system and a solar-powered water pump, supporting the University's initiatives on environmental stewardship and resource conservation.

Dr. Dumale emphasized that NVSU continues to strengthen its physical infrastructure without losing sight of sustainability, noting that the University has been averaging around 20 infrastructure projects annually, with many focused on upgrading and rehabilitating existing facilities to better serve students, faculty, and stakeholders.

Stressing the University's commitment to transparency and accountability, Dr. Dumale assured the NVSU community that infrastructure projects are carried out with integrity.

"We ensure that projects are implemented. Walang ninanakaw," he said, underscoring the administration's commitment to the proper and responsible use of public funds.

Looking ahead, the University aims to further increase investments in infrastructure to provide more functional, safe, and future-ready facilities for the growing academic community. Dr. Dumale stressed that these goals can only be achieved through unity and a shared commitment to the University's vision of excellence.
