NVSU Celebrates the World Bamboo Day

Today, September 18, 2023, at the NVSU-AIC, Singian Hills, Tuao South, Bagabag, Nueva Vizcaya, the university joins the nation and the rest of the world thru a bamboo planting activity to celebrate World Bamboo Day and Philippine Bamboo Month with the theme "Buong Bansa Magtanim: Kawayan para sa Kalikasan, Kabuhayan at Kinabukasan."

Dr. Arvin P. Vallesteros, Campus Administrator of the Bayombong Campus and Chair of the NVSU-AIC TWG, and Dr. Shierel F. Vallesteros, NVSU's Focal Person for the Cagayan Valley Bamboo Industry Cluster, led the initiative. Some faculty members, students, and employees from the College of Forestry, Environment and Resources Management (CFERM), its Center for Environmental Resources Management and Sustainable Development (CERMSD), the College of Engineering (CoE), and the Physical Plant and Site Development (PPSD)took part in the aforementioned activity. 

A workshop by the NVSU-AIC TWG for the Bambusetum Architectural Concept was conducted after the bamboo planting activity.
