Book launch, future collaborations at PAEF

The Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU), as represented by University President Wilfredo A. Dumale, Jr. and OIA Director Regine Karla G. Tabas, attends the book launching on August 26 of three history books on communication in Asia and the Philippines by a prominent communication educator and writer of communication textbooks organized by Philippine-American Educational Foundation (PAEF), in cooperation with the Philippine Association of Communication Educators (PACE) in celebration of PAEF's 75th anniversary.

Dr. Crispin C. Maslog launched AMIC@50: Turning Gold, A History of the Asian Media Information and Communication Centre, PACE: Turning 50: A History of the Philippine Association of Communication Educators, and Remember People Power 1986.

During the said event, President Dumale had an opportunity to meet a co-Fulbright scholar, Dr. Antonio Joselito G. Lambino II, widely known as Tony Lambino, President of Ayala Foundation, the social development arm of the Ayala Group of Companies. They have discussed future collaborations where the university committed to submitting concept notes on coffee and culture and arts. Ayala company has a portfolio of diverse business interests, including investments in education among others.

President Lambino was previously Managing Director for Strategic Communication, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (the Philippine central bank) and Assistant Secretary of Finance, Republic of the Philippines, where he led stakeholder engagement initiatives in support of the Comprehensive Tax Reform Program and related socioeconomic reforms. In a previous life, he was a professional singer and songwriter who recorded albums in the Philippines as a solo artist and with the multi-award-winning Smokey Mountain.
