NVSU launches 'Tanim sa Bahay, Ani sa Buhay' initiative
Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU) launched the “Tanim sa Bahay, Ani sa Buhay” initiative on May 18, encouraging employees to plant okra seedlings as part of their at-home activities during work-from-home schedules.
The initiative, spearheaded by University President Dr. Wilfredo A. Dumale Jr. in coordination with the University's Extension and Training Unit, aims to promote backyard gardening among university personnel.
Through the distribution and planting of okra seedlings, the program seeks to encourage food sustainability, support healthy living, and strengthen the spirit of community among employees even while working remotely.
NVSU continues to champion programs that foster environmental stewardship and self-sufficiency, highlighting the university’s commitment to sustainable practices and community development.
